I take this opportunity to glance at my phone once more and I see that it is now 12:42. If Dr. Blancher doesn’t arrive in the next three minutes, we...will all be encouraged to pack up our things and come back next week. Part of me wants to stay and continue being mesmerized by Dr. Thickman, but part of me wants to get as far away from him as possible so I don’t continue to embarrass myself in front of him. What am I even thinking? There’s no way he sees me as anything more than just a generic. Not that I was scared or didn’t trust men, I wanted to be in control for once, make the decisions, especially about my own body. What Jason had done – and made me do – still made my stomach knot at the thought. There was no way I was going into something blind. Not this time. But I couldn’t avoid it. I liked Clive, he was the first guy I’d had feeling for since Jason. I wasn’t sure what to do about them. Luckily Cupid was there to give things a friendly shove in the right way. It happened one. I thought he was trying to make some girlfriend jealous or something so I humored him. I told him I was a secretary. For some reason, I liked talking about myself. He excused himself to go to the bathroom. I went to the bathroom as well. In the bathroom I noticed it was a unisex bathroom. A blonde woman with too much makeup looked at me in jealousy. "Look at her." I heard her mutter. I loved hate and jealousy. I ignored her comment with an inward smile and went over to the mirror. I fixed. However I held off and decided to wait a few hours until the party had gone into full swing an I had of course had my regular 7-8 pints of over priced cider,, and she had obviously drank too quickly and it had gone to her head as she was by now dancing all over the place, and from the looks of it her shoes had less grip than she anticipated as she kept slipping. She then decided she had danced enough and walked over to me, smiling the same cheeky grin she always did, which I knew meant she was.
