I wouldn’t have known he was there if Dick hadn’t seen him and told me.A few words here about football. I loved the game and I loved playing it, but I was never going to be an all-star. Good enough to play, but there were no athletic scholarships or pro contracts in my future. But my father never missed a game. He even made it to the away games. I don’t think he ever knew that I knew he was there. He always sat mid-way up in the stands with a lot of people around him and he never mentioned it.
