I readily accepted andfollowed her in. She was barefoot and her toes werepainted a light pale blue. I became fixated on hertoes and actually imagined...what it would be like tolick them. Well, anyway, I followed her to herbedroom closet where she piled five or six shoeboxesin my arms and she took an armful as well. As I wasfollowing her down the stairs the top few boxesteetered off the stack and when tumbling down thebasement stairs. I got to the bottom and set the boxesdown and started to put. I dropped down beside her and shouldered my pack after coiling the cord. I lifted the heavy chest and moved around the side temple building.She walked behind me as we moved along the edge of the moat. When we reached the wall I glanced back but reached out to touch the wall. I shifted my hand to earth as I felt the stones in the wall. I knelt and pulled at a couple of stones and they slid out. I reached lower and pulled out two more before slowly pushing the chest through.I pushed my pack after. "You've done enough. Take the day off. The week. Themonth. I've got this."Xi shook her head. His head."Look," Hease explained. "It's my body. I need to learn to work it.Especially with all the new nerve growth. Scat."Xi sighed.They swapped.*Ugh,* Hease thought. *This sucks.*It still hurt. He refused to groan, though. Or show any sign ofdiscomfort. He gave her two thumbs up."Let me see you move your legs," she said."Tomorrow at rehab," Hease said. He moved his feet. Pain nearlyimmobilized him. She opened the door, and invited him in. As he walked in he kissed her soft lips and pulled her into a hot embrace. When he finally pulled back he looked at her."Your so beautiful," he whispered."Thank you," she said cheerfully."Well before we go out we need to go over some things first," he said."1 - You are mine to do with as I please. 2 - You will never be in any danger. 3 - At anytime you do not feel comfortable, or you cant take it anymore then you may use the safe word and I will stop.
