In those days she was known as Sally Tyrant and was a famous or, perhaps, notorious Rock Music critic, celebrated for her acerbic and scathing prose a...d for her withering assaults on everything and anything that triggered her dissatisfaction. What amazed me most of all was that a Rock Music Critic had even heard of Crystal Passion. By then the band was almost entirely forgotten. If our music was likely to be heard anywhere it would be on obscure late-night music shows on BBC Radio 6 or X-FM.. It was supposed to bring out my leadership qualities. It didn't really work in my case, some of the tougher guys from the big cities bullied me. It didn't help that part of the course meant performing a play and our director casting me as a teenage girl. I had to wear a dress, put a wig on and make up. The bullies could see I loved it. They delighted in pulling up my skirt and showing the others my erection. But I've never forgotten how I felt at the time. Wearing women's clothes just seemed. If a man works hard and creates a bee hive then captures a swarm of bees, the bee hive must be destroyed.And if the people who have manipulated their way into leadership positions are at all conniving they will have convinced their people that all the destruction and theft is in the name of fairness. So far as I can see, fairness is when everyone plays by the same rules and the rules are enforced evenly on all people. Of course that is always hard to do. First those who enforce the rules must.
