I was rather out of shape after too many business lunches so whenever I was working away from home I tried to stay at a hotel with a gym so that I cou...d have a short work-out after eating a hotel meal.I was staying at a nice hotel in the south of England and got down to the gym at about 9pm. At that time of night the gym and leisure facilities were unmanned and usually deserted. I changed into my kit and started off in the gym on the exercise machines. There was already a man of about 40. Shehad a sort of rounded face with nice blue eyes and acute full lipped mouth. I found her very easy to talkwith, although I did notice that around most people shewas very shy and reserved. She was basically a quietperson with a kind personality and a sweet countryaccented voice. There was a slight air of naivety around her too. Fromour conversations I guessed that she had been quite abit heavier than she was now, hence the exercise kick,and had recently moved into a shared house afterleaving. ”Dad nodded slightly. “How do you know?”I explained about what had happened today at school. His skin could get irritated, or he could get too hot or too cold, though his desires in that regard were rarely far out of line with Chrissy's. His main source of knowledge about the world was his hearing, although she could teach him a few things about spatial relations by tracing patterns on his skin. He learned to understand the language. He could get bored, so he wanted her to talk to him, or play.
