It was a sad and sorry group that stood before the House Master the next day. ‘What do you boys have to say for yourselves?’ ‘What do you mean S...r?’ Thompson had been elected the group spokesman. ‘What I mean is that you boys have been drinking. Where did you get the alcohol?’ ‘What alcohol?’ ‘The alcohol that you were drinking last night?’ ‘We found what we thought was red cordial in the kitchen so we took it, how were we to know that the kitchen staff had alcohol?’ That’s good, Thompson. It started to rain heavily as it was rainy season & she did not have any umbrella or raincoat etc. She borrowed the umbrella which i had. My aunt offered her to stay at her home with me as she could help in preparing breakfast next morning. It was holiday the next day & even i offered her to stay back & told that her that she could help us by preparing some hot home made breakfast for us & aunt. She agreed to it as it had now started raining heavily. It was 8 pm, she was near my aunt, helped. This meant that the machines had to be reprogrammed and readjusted often, something we usually did, but this customer wanted a trained staff of their own to do it. The word was that someone from our department would have to train them on site. As it was I was already working ten to twelve hours most days, but the more I worked, the more work ended up on my desk. If we were to give up one more colleague, even if it was only for a month, the department would break down; at least I would, unless. My wife told Danny to pack and meet us at the RV in the campground we were staying in. Danny bounced off to get her things. “Are we doing the right thing?” I asked the missus. “I sure hope so,” my wife sighed. Danny came back with a bundle and an old suitcase. We showed her where to store clothes for the trip and I put the rest in my tow car. We played board games and ate grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner and turned in early. I had to get up at 6:00 am and get ready for a long driving.
