In the late summer before going off to boarding school my mother made an appointment at the Doctors for me to have a health check, I was having problems with heavy periods and I was hoping they could do something to help with that also. The appointment was made for 5.40pm.I made my way to the Doctors on my own, I was headstrong, considered myself an adult and didn’t need mother holding my hand. I checked on the touch screen, mentally noted my appointment was with the locum Dr Jarvis and went. She laughed again.
