Two ladies walked in, looked the crowd over, and came up to where I was seated. I noticed that the younger of the two walked with a shuffling gait, th...t her head nodded a bit from side to side, and that she seemed to always have a smirk-like smile on her face. When she later spoke her words were slightly slurred. I later learned that she suffered from cerebral palsy. The older of the two spoke to me saying, ‘Where have you been all of my life?’ I replied by saying, ‘I don’t know. I don’t think. " Does that mean I might get her back?" Has she actually left?" Well no, she's at home looking after the dogs." Which of you sleeps in the spare room?" She does."I was going to explain about how that room had a better bed, but I stopped, in case it made me look like a wimp. She caught something, grinned at me and reached out to hold my hand."Your confidence is shot." Her tone was flat, a statement of fact, but her smile was kind. "I'm not leaving until we've fixed that." Another flat-toned. The next bus came after 10 mins and it was jam packed already and i decided to take the bus only if she boards it and in my mind i thought she may not take this but to mys urprise she took that bus and I followed her. After great difficulty I went past the crowd and got in saw her standing a few feet away from me. I slowly pushed the crowd and wanted to stand near her and if there is a possibility I wanted to touch her. I moved a little forward and I was a foot away from her. She was standing. When I was a kid I was fascinated, like many kids, with airplanes. I used to ride my bike to a small airport where I would dream about someday being able to fly a Piper J3 Cub. I even got a couple of rides in one convincing me that it was my destiny to some day own one of those rattle traps. Little did I know...It took a little over a week to get us all checked out in my new toy. I had Grace, Kim, Allison and Amelia fly down to meet us so they could be on the inaugural flight of what I dubbed.
