I was attending a Seminar that was to last an entire week during the daytime, which left me with plenty of Night Time on my own.I drove down there on ... Sunday and checked into my normal Best Western Hotel that I have stayed in for other meetings. I spent the rest of the day and evening going over notes for the meeting the next morning. I got awake on Monday morning took my shower and left for the Seminar. when I arrived it was the usual group of people that attends our meetings . I went over to. I could stand but would not be able to move far, I am filthy, I must have been rolling in the dirt. “Hello, your awake” a strange voice says, “How are you”. I think what a stupid question how do I look like I feel and how can I respond with my mouth stuffed like it is. The owner of the voice is a mature middle aged man he appears naked except for a pair of old work boots and a full length dirty leather apron. “You were delivered here last night, you were out cold so I let you sleep before I fix. Before grabbing his keys, he stopped off in the kitchen to get a bottle of cool blue Gatorade. Tariq started his black 2002 Lincoln Continental and backed out of the driveway.About twenty minutes later, the former high school athlete pulled into the mall parking lot. Inside the department store he began to browse. “May I help you,” inquired a soft voice from behind Tariq.“Yeah,” he said turning around. “I need to buy a, uh, uh, um.”“You need to buy a what,” the sales associated prodded.“A, uh,. ”“You mean a runaway in friend’s house recovering from a three day fever?” George winked and everyone started laughing. If only he knew how accurate that statement really was I doubt he’d laugh so much. Regardless I chuckled just for appearance sakes before digging in. It was weird eating with Gene’s family, not because of her mother and father, but because they actually talked to one another while they ate. My family did that too, but it wasn’t in the light hearted manner that her family was.
