I wanted to scout out the Red Roof Inn and the surrounding area. That would keep Sam occupied and both of us away from home. The Forest Road exit was ...ust outside the city limits. Going east from the freeway the Red Roof Inn was on the left and a Best Western Motel on the right. The road ended against a cross road on the other side of which was farmer's fields and a horse farm.Sam got all excited when she saw the horses romping in the fields with this year's crop of colts. I pulled off the road. Somehow it felt like we were at a family outing rather than a restaurant. By the time we left I think I knew everyone there.
