I am feeling hurt and am not ready for any further pain. Now I just retreat to my high-rise penthouse and live like a hermit. I kill the TV program wh...ch had been wasting my time and sit looking out of the floor to ceiling window which gives me a view of the city and of the river and mountains in the distance. My attention comes back to reality by the sound of the doorbell. I flick the TV back on which shows me the image of a woman standing in the lobby. “Can I help you?” I ask. “Jack is that. "My security clearance is pretty high so they found a way to keep me around." He's being modest," I added. "Chris has a very important job at Coronado. But it's apparently classified because none of us really knows what he does." I am just a civilian consultant," Chris said, echoing the line that he'd offered us many times."Uh-huh," Rick said dubiously, reveling one of the rare opportunities we got to pick on Susan's husband. "He's a consultant that had to leave a party after an urgent phone. I mean man. He went to talk with his skinny friend, and when he came back he told me "he is going to that boy's place, so we can go to our hotel room if you like". They were sharing a hotel room in the center, apparently.
