A little breeze would have been welcomed, but my ladies were troopers. They were preparing to take a little sun!I had my bar chair -- tall and comfort...ble. I had arranged icy refreshments at arm's length, and even had parked my binoculars on the coffee table. I was still debating whether using the binoculars would be crossing the line. But I'd withhold judgment until I saw how badly I wanted to cross some lines.I had thought of everything. I was even dressed for the occasion -- in oversized. Treated like an unruly dog perhaps even used by dogs, or otherlivestock...Each. Maybe she didn't. She had very dramatic makeup: Very pale skin with sunken cheeks, and very thick mascara, violet eye shadow that only covered the sides as it faded towards the arched, black eyebrows, and blood red lipstick. Plus it looked as if she filed her fangs.The other guy with him said somberly, "And of course a ghost would wear clothes. The dead in the graveyards are buried in mourning clothes." This one was dressed like an old-fashioned undertaker, with the black-with-gray-stripes. "I'll be there to pick you up on time."She gave me one of those looks that women are so good at giving — the one that says everything and nothing at the same time — and said, "Are you okay?" Yeah, sure, just a little tired from the grind."She looked at her watch; "Got to run or I'll be late for class." She stood up, leaned over the table and gave me a quick kiss on my cheek and then ran for her class.The party was jumping. The booze was flowing, the music was throbbing and everybody was having.
