Author’s Note This is the re-imagining of an excellent story by Visioneer called Lucia Makes a Bet. Visioneer’s story is wonderfully written. His...characters are distinct and believable, he has a great feel for writing dialogue, the plot is put together well, and the story is entertaining if you’re into the reluctance category. So there was certainly no need to re-write such an excellently composed story. But I had an idea to take the story, the characters, and their dynamics and interactions.
