He had dark brown hair and was skinny. His navy blue Penn State shirt hung loosely on him. He couldn’t have been more than one hundred sixty-five pounds. He smelled good, like fresh soap and expensive shampoo. We shared a few drinks and some shots. He was friendly and good with conversation. His hand found a resting place. "Here, try some of the meatballs. They're amazing!"So went the rest of the night. I think I managed to intercept (without being overbearing, mind you) about half of all the alcohol she was going to pour down the hatch. Yes, she was a minor, but I could care less about that. If we were in France, it wouldn't even be an issue. My main concern was to ensure she enjoyed herself without going overboard. Not the most entertaining way to spend the evening, but what else could I do? At least she didn't. "Don't sweat it Miss. We aren't busy at all and I am about to make a pass of the dorm areas anyway. It was close to 4 in the afternoon and we decided it may be best to pick a spot to make camp. We still had another hour to walk before we got to our favorite fishing spot, but we thought it best to finish in the morning. Before we could get the gear unpacked it started to rain. In a matter of minutes the rain became a total downpour. And it was freezing. By now the temperature had dropped to 35 and our hands were hurting from the cold. By the time we got the tent set up, neither of us had a dry.
