In the car Christie nursed the plate of food we were contributing. Lucky she’d put cling film over it, her paint was coming off. She looked very dif...erent painted black. She closes the door behind her then walks in the dark to my bed and sits down on the edge. My eyes have adjusted to the dark and I watch her reach behind her back and remove her bra. She places the bra on the floor then slides her shorts off and quickly climbs under the sheets next to me. I look her in.
