Sitting behind my desk would only have hidden the show I was putting on. The outline of my stocking tops and garter belt was clearly showing through m... thin outfit. While I continued the lecture I stood next to my desk to where I had stacked the books the class would be reading this year. As I held up each of the books, I talked about each one and why the class would read it. I then put it on the desk, starting a new stack. I pretended not to notice I had caught my sash under the first book.. Roger wasn't gay, like I made Steve believe — he was my boyfriend, and he loved me like crazy. The reason he was so eager to marry me was not to please his father — very much the contrary.
