I chased her as best I could, and ran right into the coach coming the other way in the hallway. "Uh…Tim?" He said seriously, but with amuse...ent in his eyes, "The showers are in the other direction…you want to go use them? Now!" "Right coach...just on my way to do that...bye!" I stammered very red in the face. A little from embarrassment and a little from the anger. Still grinning, Dale said peeking out from the door of the coach's office. “I’ll bet he shaves. He didn't mind & said he didn't mind if i had some fun with a guy or two while he was away.Last night I went out and went to a bar, I was sitting at the bar on my second drink when a couple of black guys who were chatting and looking at me came up to the bar and asked me if i would like a drink. I thought it would be rude not to say yes so i accepted.After about an hour of lots of drinks i was begining to get a bit tipsy, i was flirting really badly with them,& we decided to sit at a table in. “Did you raise your c***dren to steal?” I asked angrily. “No” she said in shame. “Brittney stole from my purse once when she was about 12 years old and I was livid.” “ I can imagine how you must feel”. (Brittney was Lyla’s younger sister.)“Well how do we resolve this”? I asked. “I’ll pay it back” she said. “With what?” “You barely can survive as it is”. I questioned“When I get another job I’ll pay it” she mumbled. “Just pay it back and that will be okay, right?” “No consequences?” “That hardly. But I couldn't stop the thoughts surging through my head.Later in the afternoon we had been playing cards for a while. We set them aside and watched the canyon and the river. Chloe leaned towards me and rested her head on my shoulder. Without thinking I kissed the top of her head. Her head jerked up and she looked into my eyes, a broad smile crossed her face and she put her head back on my shoulder. Her hand found mine and clasped it as we sat. Once again I was in turmoil imagining Chloe and me.
