A similar addition next to the shop was home to the agriculture department. Probably half the students in our school lived on farms outside the city limits. A large part of the ones who lived in town had grandparents or other close relatives living on farms around the town. The Ag department had full classes.The railroad people claimed the railroad built the town, but farming was a major economic support for the community.
