We had two guys that worked with us that would drive the trucks and take care of the animals. Occasionally we had to ship some with the commercial tra...sporters when we had more entries — this would be at the larger rodeos. We did a few PBR events - the Professional Bull Riders — and I wanted to focus more on this part of the rodeo tour that granddad had.I settled into a routine. The trips were fun since I knew a lot of people — many of them since I was a kid. People that I didn't know stopped. “Maybe.” I pushed back against him.“I think you're gonna stay still.” He pushed forward against me.“Okay.”He lightened his grip on one of my arms, pulling it free and slowly sliding it up the wall, above my head.“I was trying to work today. He couldn’t see that, though, he was too focused on rubbing up. As we got up, the impact of the three martini cocktails we had had during dinner was felt suddenly. I felt a bit wobbly but managed to walk in a straight line. Charlie held my coat as I was putting it on. He stood very close to me. Closer than he needed to, I noticed. I did not move away. We all walked out of the restaurant together. Joy and I had insisted on paying our dinners even though some of the boys had offered to pay our bill. We walked slowly in a loose group on the sidewalk. The two. That said, things were about to get worse. I was in yet another bar slowly drinking myself into inebriation, when a guy came and sat down next to me and offered to buy me a beer. We ended up chatting quite a while and I don’t know how the fuck it happened, but I told him about my situation and about not being able to get release and just generally feeling really shit. He wanted to take a look at the cage and suggested we went into the bathroom. Not entirely sure why I was doing this, I followed.
