Whoever is available and responds first gets the opportunity to spend some time with me if they want to. I closed my eyes, hit the button and put the ‘phone to my ear. It was my financial advisor Theresa Roberts’ voicemail saying she wasn’t available and that I should leave a message. I ‘tutted’ and scrolled down again. It was the same with Steve Reynolds, the guy who managed. Tonight though, well Jack had a little plan up his sleeve. He had been looking for the perfect place. A friend had told him about this old cemetery and in particular about the old mansion that stood off in the back corner. Apparently the mansion was abandoned although kept in good repair. Most likely by some preservation society who were dedicated to such causes. Jack had been to the cemetery a couple of times to scope it out. The old mansion was secluded alright and while carrying some spooky. She worked Thursday, of course, the same day she came over, and also Friday. We didn’t work any shifts together in over a week. I’m still not sure how much she told and to whom. After I was cut from the floor I sat at the bar for a couple of Bud Light Platinums before going home. Since the weekend was slow, none of us made much money, except for Jackie, of course. She always did. She really knew how to work the older high roller guys for big tips. And, oh by the way, she was a smoking hot blue.
