Initially the evening had gone well even though Kevin seemed a bit intimidated by the husband who was a successful novelist. The dinner was delicious,...but as the evening progressed they all had a bit too much wine. They had decided to play cards, wives against the husbands, and when the husband got up to retrieve a card which had fallen on the floor, he lost his balance and only regained it by grabbing on to Bonnie who simply laughed it off. Kevin, however, was furious and accused the husband. 'Halfway there! Yay for me!'Carefully balancing with her wings against the ground in front of her, she raised herself up on her legs, grinning widely as she finally stood upright. Taking several deep breaths, she folded her wings behind her, then forced her shoulder sockets forward. The amazing cartilage structure of her wings folded effortlessly into her body and seemed to vanish, much of the pliant, boney structure folding to mesh with her ribs as her skin shrank to 'normal' size.'Yeah! I've. Instead she was taken to the managers office that was filled by 5 men plus the manager. “These men are the owners and managers of the club. With your lack of work experience they are going to have you audition for them. You will do a three song set.” explained Dee.The men were served drinks and settled into chairs around the office. Dee escorted Mercedes to the stage. When the music started, Mercedes nervously began to dance. When she got to the end of her second song, she slipped out of her.
