Since we were in the same college, we began to meet up in canteen and library and later became best of friends. She used to talk to me about everythin... and we were really close. There was an unconfessed spark between us. We used to sometimes talk naughty and fun too ;)It was December, her birthday. We celebrated at 12 am and then spent the whole day together. After dinner, we both were at her place when I finally confessed my feeling to her. She smiled and said she feels the same. I kissed her. Three shots from those first guys rang out and her body jerked as she was hit with all three. The new guys came up and killed the other two men quickly. I slowly stood and raised my hands again. One man from this new group walked over and checked the bodies including Cathy's limp form. He then looked at me and said, "Tell us what happened."I said, "We were in Oregon and were headed back to my home in Richmond, Virginia. He sent me out to right field, where my lack of fielding ability wouldn’t cause our team any disasters. The first two innings went OK for me. I saw the ball on a single play. It was a looper just over the head of the third baseman. I was able to sprint in and snag the ball before it plopped to the ground for a single.“Attaboy, Andy!” Scott shouted from shortstop. “Good. Our first innings in the field didn’t go so well, Tim was having an off day, his fastball didn’t have as much zip on it as usual, his trick balls also didn’t move as much as he wanted.We tried our best in the field to make up for it, but still had to give them two runs, when there 3rd batsman caught all of the ball, it went high and long, Rich went back to try and catch it, but it was too long going over the boundary for a homerun.Tim dug in and stuck at it, managing to stop them scoring again.
