There HAD to be.But ... first I need a shower ... NOW.I don’t know if the hotel has a bath ... or hot water. I walked westish on Peninsula Beach roa.... I took the pedestrian walkway up to Island Terrace. It’s noonish ... I’d slept myself out ... so I looked both ways ... twice.These folks drive on the left but at sea boats must obey right of way. And sailboats not under power have right of way ... as long as the sailboat isn’t stupid about it. Ships are clumsy and slow to stop.Island Terrace has. All I could do was bite and clasp the bed linens, and try to assimilate the pain. However, I couldn’t help the tears from beginning to rolling down my face. I started crying. “I tolcha sweet cheeks! I tolcha, ha, ha! I tolcha were gonna cry like a bitch! Ha, ha!”I wanted him to stop, but I could not move. Again, I attempted to free myself by throwing my right arm back to catch his right hand, but instead he grabbed mine. So he had my head pinned down against the bed and my right arm. Horrors…..dancing with a guy all night at the club we were at. I felt so guilty the next morning that I vowed not to drink again without my then boyfriend around. What I didn’t recognize was the excitement of being close with another man. While dancing with him I so much wanted to kiss him but just resisted the urge. I also, to that point, had not even considered using any recreational drugs. That was an absolute no no in my mind. At this reception I had more than a few wines and I was. As we sit and talk about our latest love affairs and what a let down they’ve been, I cant help but let my mind wander back to the day Nicole and I shared our first kiss. We were 21 at the time and a little wild I must add, as our parents were the strictest on our block.
