It was in the midst of an ice age, and the dominant carnivore was a beast that closely resembled a polar bear from Earth. Naturally, I named it Polar.The Polars roamed as single hunters, so it was very rare to find two of them together, except in the very short mating season, and then they had only one thing in mind.
