There were flakes of plaster of Paris which I removed with a damp cloth and then I decided that it needed disinfecting and so I found out a bottle of the stuff under the sink and put it into a small bowl I carefully wiped the table clean.I looked around the floor and noticed that it was messy; I looked around the cupboards and found a vacuum cleaner, this I used to push the dirt around. After a bit the road smoothed out. Rain still streaked the windows, and the trees on both sides of the bus seemed darker and taller, with a lot more undergrowth.After an hour the rain stopped and the sun made a brief appearance. After another hour and several more hills they dropped into a small valley and stopped in a clearing filled with large wooden buildings. Trees loomed on two sides, and there was a rock face on the other side of a small stream. There were what looked like tents here and. She heard the swish of a cane through the air and yelped even though it hadn’t touched her. The cane swished again and still no contact, and then the same again, she began to believe she was simply being tormented especially when there was laughter at her reactions. Again the swish and then again, she breathed softly to her herself and then screamed as the cane smashed into her buttocks. Again it hit her and she lifted her head, tried to pull away from the pain, she screamed as it hit her.
