Aur uss pe gussa nikal ke main jau toh kahan jau.Woh hi toh mera ekmatra sahara hai.Maine socha agar woh apne limitations mein rahe toh thik hai. Ignore karta hu iss sab ko. Aankhir woh. It found itself inside exploding stars; on planets burning alive; on worlds so cold the only movement could be found in asteroid strikes every few hundred years.Eventually, the rod travelled to a new system. This time, though, it found something.Life.In its infinite travels, the rod had developed a consciousness. A mind.A curious mind.It altered it's trajectory slightly, so it might hit the planet.It landed.In it's memories, it remembered tales of a lost race. A race who'd glue themselves. It confused him.In the last two dreams, he had known whom he was fighting, and how to fight them. The dream faded to a faint hazy recollection upon waking, though, leaving him feeling frustrated. He believed the dreams were telling him something. He knew the dreams were something about his life, his other life. He knew this body was not his. Yet here he was, living and breathing in it.He took in a deep breath, and sighed. The smells, the touches, the tastes... They were all exquisite. They were. "Mona looked at me with bleary eyes, "Today? I thought it was tomorrow" and she tried to stand up, but couldn't quite make it. She settled back onto her barstool and motioned for Bill, the bartender, to bring her another drink. The guys would be pissed at me tomorrow, but there was nothing I could do about it now. I kept Mona company for about an hour and then I headed home.I didn't worry about Mona because I knew Bill would put her on the cot that he had in the back room and let her sleep it.
