Unlike many places that attracted large numbers of retirees, the newcomers to our town were mostly working-class folks who moved in to work in the loc...l factories and the businesses that had sprung up around them. The town of Arcadia had grown into a small city in just a few years and the place had changed from a quiet semi-rural community to a bustling urban area, complete with all the problems that brought.We were way far from all the major tourist attractions and it was almost an hour's. It was a stupid accident and I was more concerned with having to repeat the work that I had been doing than with any harm I might have caused myself.I was using the brush to clean my nails when Shelli came into the lab. She stopped inside the door and I glanced up at her. Being naked in front of her wasn't embarrassing me as much as the fact that I had ruined the results of all of our work for the last month. I asked her to dump neutralizer on the floor where the tubes were and she sprang into. ‘About the same as that in a small blast.’ My pistol was not weak. An area of effect with that damage would be bad. “How often can he cast Fireball?”“Five times at most.” She considered, “The curse it could cast once per minute, maybe ten times. Not necessarily worse than mine or Tina's, but gee, who wants to be all scalar about that?So Cindy's mom shows up, and Cindy's a wreck. The bad thing is Cindy's a wreck because her mom is NOT.Evidence. We sort of left Cindy and Dan 1.0 and her mom, Donna, alone to have lunch together. We didn't want to overload them, thinking they wanted time to talk about things.
