I loved the summer but today was one of those uncomfortably hot and humid days. My heels clacked on the asphalt of the parking lot as I walked towards...my car while hitting the unlock key.As soon as I was inside I started the engine and cranked up the AC then I slipped off my heels and put on the flip flops that I kept on the passenger seat. After that I grabbed my phone out of my purse to text my boyfriend who I was looking forward to spending the weekend with."Can't wait to see you, xoxo" then. I can't remember where they we're going, but they we're going tobe out for a good few hours. This was as good a chance as any to dosomething about what I'd been thinking about almost non-stop sinceyesterday.I waited a good five to ten minutes after the rest of the family had leftthe house, and then I went in to my parents' bedroom. I opened themirrored doors of their wardrobe's and first saw my dad's clothes and gotthis feeling of "ugh no!" My mother's clothes we're next, and I gentlylooked. We danced all night together, until the party ended at three o’clock; slowly we made our way to the car.“When was the last time you saw the sunrise young man”, she quipped.” only from my bed I laughed.“Take me to needle point taxi” she laughed getting in the car.Needle point was know as lovers lane, high above the town you could look onto the lights of the streets below.A we drove up the winding lane mom talked about the party, I didn’t realize before but she was a little drunk.When we arrived. "Got to go potty, girl?" Roof."Laughing, Ted got up and opened the door for the dachshund, and watched her run out to her area of the yard to go potty. He stood there drinking his coffee as Ken and Mr. Thompson entered the kitchen.Ken sat down at the table, grabbed the fresh pot of coffee, and poured himself a cup. Sitting back after fixing the coffee the way he liked it he looked at Ted at the door."What are you watching Ted?"Without turning, Ted continued to watch the dog play with her.
