One night I was working the graveyard shift by myself and was extremely bored. The store was in a small town and around two o'clock not much was happe...ing. I was just leaning on the counter watching the few cars on the road pass by when suddenly the door opened and in walked Catherine. Stirring myself I tried to make myself look busy. This was sort of odd, Catherine stopping in at the store at this late hour, especially since she lived two hours away. The floors discouraged snakes of which a few were non poisonous, but Not nasty spiders and those damned mosquitos always seemed to defy the netting. We soon got used to shaking out our boots when getting out of bed, my worst fears realised one morning. I handed it back without a comment and got in. I did feel better having seen it.I told Joey which hotel and we made it there without being stopped by authorities. I promised to call him as soon as I knew what my schedule was going to look like and gave him another kiss. I frowned at the asshole, but at least said 'bye' this time.There were too many people in line for the hotel registration, followed by too many people in line for the tournament registration, plus I had to go register for some.
