It was going all over the house. Then I felt Mary jerked to the side. I watched something hit Skylar in the center of her chest that pulled her off me...and back against a dresser. I felt two bullets whizz by me as they headed through my bedroom wall and into the bathroom. I heard the glass of the shower break from the first bullet and then the thump of the impact with a body.Moving quickly, I checked Skylar and Mary first. The girls both had a single gunshot wound. Their babies growing inside. "No, there's no end to numbers," I argued with her when I first learned that numbers are infinite."Yes, there is. Because you can't live forever to count them all." Still holding the table tightly I forced myself to my feet and cast my eyes about blindly.'Sit down and shut up, all of you!' the darkness inside me rasped out thru my throat.I listened closely and heard chairs being pulled away from the table.
