I helped her to her feet and helped herpick up the test tubes and beakers that weren't broken and I went off tofind the janitor. Upon return I saw she...had all new samples and was on herway out the door. I stopped her and realizing I might not get anotherchance I decided to ask her if she would like to have coffee. She said yesand gave me her phone number to contact her so we could get together afterwork.I went back to my job and gather the unit I was to work on and headed backto the shop to set. I said if she wanted to go anyway I would take her. She smiled and said she really liked birds and wanted to go. So we headed out to one of the more remote areas of the grounds. We chatted as we hiked and I pointed out several of the local species as we left the camp proper. I found out she was indeed 15, soon to turn 16. Her name was Annie. She had read hair the color of flame, a pale freckled face, blue eyes and an unbelievably pretty smile. I asked how she enjoyed camping she said it was fun. ." she cried as she stumbled into Vicky's arms."If that were so Denise," Vicky said with sympathy.
