I took care of the shave and shower quickly, got myself dressed comfortably and settled down to wait for Nan. I had told her to come and find me as soon as she got back so, it was just a matter of waiting.It was 5:30 when the knock at the door came. “Enter.”It was Nan’s mother bring the tray of snacks and. Outside, rain began to fall and the wind picked up. “Good way of putting it,” Chloe whispered, “And now you don’t have a girlfriend.” “True,” I answered, suddenly nervous. Wind-driven rain hammered the front window, though the rain was not the cause of my nervousness. “So maybe I can help you and you can help me,” Chloe finished as she leaned in to me. Her lips met mine before I could say or do anything more. My brain raced, unsure of how to respond. Do I give in or stop it before it went too. ’ She was hopeful that Greg didn’t spend his time listening to Ask Someone’s Mother. It turned out that he hadn’t. He said he’d had a business dinner last night. ‘What about tonight?’ he asked her. ‘Dinner?’ Ana wanted to agree, it seemed to be the easiest course of action. But, it somehow didn’t seem quite fair. As if she was being unfaithful. Wait a minute, she told herself, you can’t be unfaithful to a man you almost dated once, even if there is an invitation on its way in the mail. Yet,.
