One ship from each group stayed away from the rest and the two groups attacked each other.The level of viciousness was amazing. Even a destroyed craft...was hit repeatedly though it could no longer fight. When only an hour had passed found that our view was being restricted. The energy weapons were able to take out our unprotected probes when they missed their intended targets. Moments later the main repeater in line to us was also destroyed and we saw no more of the battle.We waited anxiously. I found that out the hard way when Coach pushed me off a building rooftop. Did I mention it was the Hancock Tower? I fell for nearly eight hundred feet! When I landed, or rather, crashed, I was in one piece! I was really mad at Coach for pulling that stunt. He seemed disappointed in me somehow. He said he thought I’d be flying by now. I reminded him that I didn’t have wings. He smirked, then suddenly flashed his own wings. Two huge, pitch-black wings similar to those of a bat. They looked. Joan jumped.She had still been sitting with her skirt around her waist, legs wide open. She clamped her legs together and jerked her skirt down guiltily.But Doctor Nancy had seen, and she grinned at Joan. Billy slipped from behind Doctor Nancy and glanced at the pretty girl behind the desk.
