When we returned home that evening, Tim made us a simple stew, and we ate it with fresh bread he’d picked up on the way home. We sat for a while, then Tim pleaded tiredness, and went to bed early. I sat for a while in. So we started down the power lines that are only about a half a mile from our house. These lines go up and down steep hills and it's fun to climb them in a truck. On the highest hill you can see for about ten miles , and at night it's real pretty looking at all the lights way out there. I stopped on that hill and turned off my head lights so we could enjoy the view. It was beautiful, the cold Fall air was clear and you could see forever! My wife said what is that light over there? It looked. What was that noise? She opened her eyes, for a second not knowing where she was. She looked around slightly dazed and looked at her watch. It was 3:30 am, she had fallen asleep. She groaned and lay down again when suddenly the living room door opened. Frank and Katie were home and she was lying on their sofa completely naked !!!Shit !! she thought grabbing a fleece blanket to cover herself. “Hi honey”, Katie said. “You’re still awake are you? Did the babes give you any trouble?” “No not at. Because, of course, my dad blamed TV on my “shameful behaviour” and that had been the end to any quality TV as well. He had a parental lock installed for anything that was remotely interesting. Honestly, there is just an age when Disney is not enough to watch any more.So now I was locked away in the mountains, two hours from the next living person with my older brothers. They were to make sure that I wouldn't meet any boys up here. I wasn't sure whom he expected me to meet here. Maybe he was.
