Tom looked at Jerry while he started to sit down at the table. He noticed something strange, Jerry was sitting with his hands between his legs. He was...wearing short trousers, a plain shirt opened at the collar and a tie that was unkempt and half undone. Jerry never looked up at Tom instead he stared at his hands. “Well…” commanded Laura, “sit down!” she urged Tom one last time. Tom smiled and caught Jerry’s eye as he glanced up at him. Tom sat down in the chair opposite Jerry. “You two have. “Oh yes dear” I started, “It was fantastic”. Leaning over, Jon kissed me gently, “You want to be with him don’t you baby?” he asked as he backed off a bit. “Yes” I could only answer. With that Jon got up, went over to Jerry and motioned him to go over and sit next to me. Jerry came over and as he sat down, I rose up and once he was settled, I laid across his lap so that I was facing him. “You were so great” I whispered to him. Looking at me, “Kiss me” Jerry said and in an instant my arm. “Steph, maybe you need to be careful here.”“Someone needs to do something.”“But he’s just a boy, and he’s her boy.”“If you’ve got a better idea, why don’t you tell me what it is?”“You know I don’t, but that doesn’t mean this is a good one.”“Jake’s a special kid.
