She put her soda down on the coffee table. Where did Duncan keep his secret stash of alcohol in her apartment? ‘It would be smart for you to shove yourself into the hole you crawled out of. She doesn’t want to have anything to do with you.’ She pointedly looked at his blackened eyes covered in frozen peas, ‘Obviously.’ ‘That’s too damn bad.’ Danny gritted out between his teeth. He threw the frozen peas down onto the coffee table. “Alright, the order placed,” he said after a few minutes. “We’ve got about forty minutes until I need to pick it up.”It was perfect timing since we had arrived at the sixth room. Opening the door, we could see a chest sitting in the middle of the room. Apparently it wasn’t a Mimic since Sonja didn’t fire an arrow at it, but we still entered the room cautiously. Once we were inside, we took some time to look around, and after a minute or so, Sonja gave us the all clear.I went over to the chest. She was half way through her second drink when she heard the water running in the hall bath that joined the second and third bedrooms. The “brown” was having it’s effect. A warm, welcome glow was spreading through her. She was formulating her plan to seduce Bill when she heard the bathroom door open and close in the hallway and someone’s bare feet padding toward the kitchen.
