I volunteered to come over and have some fun with her. At first she declined, said she liked me a lot and enjoyed our friendship. Well one day she replied with, how about coming over this weekend and we will see where it leads to! Saturday came and I was eager to visit my work friend! I showed up and she greeted. I stepped out, followed by Dad (!), and got mobbed! That went on for a couple of minutes, then everyone started moving away to make room for the other (much larger) plane, which rolled up beside “ours” and shut down.A lot of people got off. More hugs, more introductions (Can’t remember all the names. Maybe in a week or two.) Finally, came (obviously) Cindy. I recognized her from Dad’s and Tina’s photos.Cindy, who walked up to me and stopped, with an odd look. She held out her right hand, and. He parked the cycle near the high school and we strolled through the town. Before I knew what I was doing, I was telling him all about my childhood, my few friends, and what I did at each building we encountered. He had a way of coaxing out the fondest of my memories and I gave him my life story in babbling details. Every now and then we’d pass some other people. Mostly though, we were alone.Eventually we returned to my old high school and then into the park that borders it. I had gushed about. The questions and answers overlapped and often ended with no clear answer that fit the whole group. At the end of two hours, Dave pulled the plug. Everyone was on a high of some kind when the ‘class’ broke up. He thought the evening had the best discussion of all of the Circle 101 classes he’d presided over.Dave led the class to the patio bar and with Cricket’s help, served up drinks for everybody.
