"I'm ready now." she said smiling.They hopped on the bike and rumbled down. I have lived here ever since I suffered a stroke, and now have only three months or so to live. They found I had lung cancer about a month ago. I had let it go for so long that, by the time they discovered it, it has spread throughout my body, causing my stroke, and leaving me an invalid in this house. So they said to make any arrangements I needed to make and gave me three months tops. I know I shouldve quit smoking years ago. I tried, but to no avail. After my wife of 40 years passed away. I actually fell asleep on the couch. Kristen woke me up when Dana was about to finish. I called Amy and asked her to come over, she could help interview Dana.The actual use of the photo was anti-climatic. As soon as I walked in front of Dana, she waited patiently for Kristen to release her and threw herself at my feet, telling me she was mine. This was actually the first new one I've been present for in a long time. It still sends a thrill up my spine to hear those first words.Kristen started. After she moved out and back with her mother we did'nt see her for almost 6 months, Craig would dissapear over to her place every weekend which made me some what happy as I did not really want to see either of them. Then one day out of the blue she just walked in the door and barely let out a hello before going into his room and shutting the door.. like old times, turns out she had bought herself a small car and from then on would just come round and stay a night or two or three and as before.
