I was interrupted in my musing when the music stopped; Leliana jumped, though managed not to drop the phone, and handed it over to me quickly in fear ...hat she'd broken it. I realised the battery was dead – we'd been walking, listening to music, for probably eight hours. After all the video taking in the morning, I wasn't surprised. I plugged the thing into one of my two chargers and slipped it back into my pocket. It occurred to me to look into solar chargers when I went back to Earth next.. I loved it; they were a breath of fresh air in what had become a boring life. As the sun set I dished up the evening meal, we all drank some wine and chatted while we ate. By the time the meal had ended I felt warm and relaxed and was wishing that I had a regular man. We cleared up the dishes and retired to the living room where I poured us all an after dinner drink and sat down to enjoy the rest of the evening."Oh," Martin said suddenly, "we nearly forgot. Tina and I have a couple of things. We both bowed as we left the room (apparently called a 'dojo'), something Nicole taught me to do."Sorry that the sensei was so hard on you." I added as we left the building. I noted the black December night sky as we walked back to Nicole's car.Nicole gave me a weird look before lightly laughing. "Dude, if you think she was 'hard on me, ' maybe you're not so ready for karate." she told me. "In karate, you're supposed to accept that you're not the best..
